Iberia 30% Bonus

American Express is offering a 30% bonus when you transfer to Iberia until 8/31/2023. This offer is very intriguing if you are looking to book a trip to Europe over the next year. The main route you can fly to Europe is Madrid on Iberia for 20k points but with the 30% bonus, it comes out even better.

Below I have shown some examples of what you can fly on Iberia with how many points it takes to fly that route and I chose September 17th as an example.

As you can see below I have added a flight from New York (JFK) to Madrid and it cost 20k points and $85.70 in taxes and fees. So you would need 15,500 points for this redemption which makes it a great redemption.

For this flight to Paris, you are going to have to pay more in taxes and fees but it still is a really good deal if you want to fly to Paris for just over 15,000.

This is an American Airlines flight from JFK to Rome and it is only 25,750 points and $226.70 in taxes and fees. This is a really good redemption since you only will need around 20,000 points and the $226.70 in taxes.

Overall, I have shown you some examples of routes you can fly on Iberia and how it is a good deal for the 30% bonus. I would not transfer your American Express points if you are not booking something right away however if you are set on a specific route it might make sense to transfer to Iberia. I really like this bonus but I do not have any specific dates set out for next year’s travel so this bonus does not make sense to transfer just yet.
