Flights I Booked Recently

Me and my wife have been looking at booking a trip to Europe next spring. We have been eying Spain, Italy, or Greece. Recently, Citi had a 25% bonus to transfer to Avianca LifeMiles. This opens the door to a United award since they are both a part of the Star Alliance. I will go in-depth into what the Star Alliance is in another post. Since I found saver availability, I could book BNA-IAD-MAD for 30k points each way per person. With the transfer bonus, I used 96k points to book a round trip for me and my wife.

The Price

If you were to book it with cash on United, it would cost $4,622, which makes it 4.8 cents per point, which is a great deal. However, I did pay about $300 in taxes and fees, but it still made it a great redemption. If you were to use United Miles, it would be around 40k points each way per person, so it makes it a great deal to book it through LifeMiles.

Spain

We have heard great things about Spain so we are looking forward to going there next year. We are planning on going to Seville, Barcelona, and Seville. I have not been able to book other things yet for the trip, like hotels and excursions, but I will write about it as I begin to start booking other things. This is an outlet where I help you save money and see how much things cost when traveling.
